It is almost time for one of Tekamah’s favorite spring events.

The Tekamah Chamber of Commerce is excited to welcome everyone back for the 4th Annual Bacon & Beer 5K on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Tekamah Mini Park. Whether you are a serious runner, a casual walker, or just coming out to enjoy a fun afternoon with family and friends, this is one of those events that brings people together in the best way.

The race check-in begins at 2:30 p.m., with the run and walk starting at 3:00 p.m. After that, the Bacon & Beer Garden opens at 3:30 p.m. with free admission. There will be bites and drinks available for purchase, along with music, awards, bacon and pork bites, and plenty of small-town fun.

Race entry is $25 and includes a T-shirt, race bib, and one bacon or beer token. Participants who register by April 6 will also receive an additional bacon or beer token, so it pays to sign up early.

One of the best things about this event is that it is for everyone. Grab a friend, bring the family, round up your coworkers, or send that group text and make a day of it. All ages are welcome to attend, and whether you run the whole route or just come for the community atmosphere, there is something for everybody to enjoy.

Events like the Bacon & Beer 5K are what make community life in Tekamah so special. It is not just about the race. It is about neighbors showing up, local businesses supporting a good time, and people spending an afternoon together in town. That is what the Chamber is all about.
