There is a new place to play, gather, and enjoy some friendly competition in Tekamah.
The community recently celebrated the ribbon cutting of Tekamah’s new pickleball courts, officially marking the opening of a great new recreational space for residents and visitors to enjoy.
Pickleball continues to grow in popularity with players of all ages, and these new courts give people a convenient place to get outside, stay active, and spend time with friends and family right here in town.
That is what makes projects like this so exciting for a small community. A new recreational space is more than just a place to play a game. It gives neighbors another reason to get together, creates opportunities for people of different ages to connect, and adds another amenity for those who call Tekamah home.
Whether you are an experienced pickleball player or have never picked up a paddle before, the new courts offer a welcoming place to give the game a try. We are looking forward to seeing plenty of matches, friendly rivalries, family outings, and maybe even a few new pickleball fans along the way.
Projects like this also take a lot of work behind the scenes. A big thank you goes to everyone who helped make the new Tekamah pickleball courts possible. From planning and fundraising to construction, support, and countless other contributions, it takes a community effort to turn an idea like this into something everyone can enjoy.
We appreciate the time, dedication, and support that went into bringing this project to life.
Most of all, we cannot wait to see the courts put to good use. Grab a paddle, call a friend, and come check out one of Tekamah’s newest community additions.
