Tekamah Community Week of Giving Raises $5,682.50 for Local Organizations

Tekamah showed up in a big way during this year’s Community Week of Giving.

Thanks to the generosity of local residents, businesses, and supporters, a total of $5,682.50 was raised for organizations serving our community, including matching funds provided by the Tekamah Community Foundation.

That is something worth celebrating.

Community Week of Giving was created to shine a light on the local organizations that work throughout the year to make Tekamah a stronger place to live. From volunteers giving their time to neighbors making donations, the week was a reminder of just how much can happen when a small town comes together around a common goal.

The event began with the Sweet Corn Festival and continued with opportunities throughout the week for community members to learn more about participating organizations and support the causes that matter to them.

Every donation, no matter the size, helped contribute to the final total. Those dollars will stay close to home and help local organizations continue the work they do for families, programs, projects, and community needs throughout Tekamah.

A special thank you goes to the Tekamah Community Foundation for providing matching funds and helping community donations go even further.

Most of all, thank you to everyone who participated. Whether you donated, shared information, volunteered, attended an event, or simply helped spread the word, you played a part in making this year’s Community Week of Giving a success.

Raising $5,682.50 is about more than a number. It represents neighbors supporting neighbors and investing directly in the organizations that make a difference right here at home.

We are grateful for another great Community Week of Giving and already look forward to seeing what our community can accomplish together next year.
