Nominate a Local Organization for Tekamah’s Community Week of Giving

Tekamah is full of organizations doing good work, often without much recognition. Community Week of Giving is our chance to shine a light on those groups and help more people learn about the difference they make.

The Tekamah Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for local nonprofit and community organizations to participate in the 2026 Community Week of Giving. Community members are encouraged to nominate an organization they would like to see featured during this year’s event.

Nominations close Friday, July 17, at 8 p.m., so be sure to submit your recommendation before the deadline.

After nominations close, the Tekamah Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors will review the submissions and select the final participating organizations. Being nominated does not guarantee selection, but every submission helps the Chamber learn more about the people and groups working to strengthen our community.

Community Week of Giving will take place August 2 through August 9, beginning with a kickoff at the annual Sweet Corn Festival on August 2. The festival will give participating organizations an opportunity to share their missions, meet community members, and explain how local support helps them continue their work.

Throughout the week, residents will have both online and in-person opportunities to support the selected organizations. It is a simple way to learn more about local causes, give back close to home, and recognize the volunteers and leaders who continue to show up for Tekamah.

Whether an organization supports local families, young people, education, health, history, community improvements, or another important cause, we want to hear about the impact it is making.

Do you know a group that deserves to be recognized? Today is the final day to submit a nomination, and forms must be completed by 8 p.m.

Help us celebrate the organizations that make Tekamah such a caring and welcoming place to call home. Important Dates
