- When I retired from teaching high school History and Geography after 33 years in the same class room, I was really ready for my next big adventure. I believed I was young enough to start over in a new and exciting career doing something totally different. I had the time and experience to follow my passion where ever that led me. It was spring of 2020. Yep… that Spring. So, like the rest of the world, I put passion on hold for a year and kicked it into survival mode. I learned a lot about myself in that year. I took up yoga, which got me through my darkest days. I served my community on the City Council and Chamber Council Board and I served them cocktails at The Chatterbox. But something was missing. I missed my students and my fellow teachers. I missed making a difference in people’s lives. I missed taking care of my people. Turns out that’s my passion. Taking care of my people. Then my sister Joannie said “You should be a real estate agent. Taking care of people is the best part of the job.” Well, she was right. I signed up for classes and spent the summer preparing for the Real Estate Exam. I passed the test and here I am. I am so very happy to announce that I have joined Don Peterson and Associates. I am over the moon excited to dive in and start taking care of my people again.I can’t wait to help you with all of you real estate needs. - I was born and raised in Omaha, NE and moved to Oakland in 2008. I work in the County Clerk’s office at the Burt County Courthouse, but always dreamed of pursuing a career in real estate. I finally took the leap when my son, Garrison, left for college. I’m so excited to continue on this new journey and help you find your dream home!
My husband, Lance, and I enjoy traveling to Peru State College to watch our son play football. We also enjoy boating, camping, and just hanging with friends and family.
